whilst having a tinker this morning i noticed what I thought were two bleed hoses actually a pipe that had broken at a rubber connector above the engine. the broken ends match perfectly so I have taped them together for the moment s you can see. I think they've been like that since January this year and I've done about 1500 miles in her without any apparent issues.

  2. If your talking about the ones on the roof of your engine bay then they are fuel tank breathers, one goes up each chimney either side of the engine bay then connect above the engine, then plug into the air filter, worse you will get is a smell of fuel in the engine bay, or a fuel spillage if your Bay falls over.

  3. Thats the ones - they do go up either side of the engine bay and the connection between the two is where its broken but i cant see it connecting into the air filter anywhere - mind you I haven't smelt any fuel in there either so as long as its not dangerous I'm happy enough - cheers.

  4. Once the hot weather returns you probably will smell the petrol fumes.....bear in mind you will be feeding them into the cab through the heater system as well. Its surprising how quickly the nose can be de sensitised to the smell of petrol.....prefer any petrol detonation to be within a cylinder.
