  6. Hmm... goofy looking, I like it... where did you find that?

  7. It is currently on ebay but i think they are after more info rather than selling by the description.

    I have found this

VWSA assembled a run of Brazilian-built split
buses in the 1975 model year which were sold under the model name
Fleetline. These were probably the last split buses built anywhere, as split
production ended in Brazil in 1974 or 75. Fleetlines were produced in three
    variants: 15-window Kombis, panelvans, and wide-bed single-cab pick-ups.

    There were between
5,000 and 6,000 Fleetlines built between January 1975 and March 1976.
So Fleetlines are still rare, but not that rare.

According to the Commercial Vehicle Data Digest:

    Fleetline introduced: January 1975
Total number sold in 1975: 4,957
    Fleetline discontinued: March 1976

In April 76 the Fleetline was replaced by the fugly bay/split hybrid, which
had baywindow front bodywork grafted onto the split rear bodywork. The
bay/splits were known simply as "1600" or "Brasilia" They were sold until 1978. The
Commercial Vehicle Data Digest lists 1976 sales at 3,446. It is not clear if
that refers to both Fleetlines and bay/splits, so there may have been as
many as 6,000 Fleetlines sold in total.

i have never liked splitty's ever tbh , i would love a trailer queen so23 totally og but not to use , soo i will never have one !

Now the fleetline with the extra room and modern- ish steering etc - maybe ?

  11. It would be a super cool bus to do up though, Nice paint job and interior and it would be well the talking point.

Does anyone know what there reserve is?

  12. Look closely and this one has 3 seperate doors on the side in the picture! Wierd.....

  13.
  14. I considered buying one of these a while ago, but decided against it as they are just a bit too weird, the one i looked at had no bulkheads between the cab and cargo area, that added to the fact that its made out of bits and bobs and perhaps of dubious build quality kind of put me off.

  15. Yep, theres flleetlines and theres fleetlines, I had a one family owner 37000 miler a few years back, bay window front and front doors after that backwards it was a split bus, BUT it had traditional split doors ie a left and a right pair rather than the arrangement you see here, which I actually like although not ideal as a camper, and it had the usual single windows without those nifty sliders you see on this one, very cool, assuming you can get hold of replacement seals. Also much of the running gear was from a split , oh and they did a 1976 fleetline... that was a splitty!

I actually love this odd ball, and if i didnt have two on the go already I'd seriously consider buying it so there.

  16. I had one years ago that had late bay front, split middle and prototype bay engine lid and rear valance, there strange creatures! I must of been acused of driving a cut n shut at least 50 times  at the time buse wernt worth anything so i ran it till it needed major work and left it on a farm i worked on when i left, prob tin cans by now

If i remember rightly there mostly on late bay running gear, the one i had evan had servo brakes

I thought they were all on latebay running gear ?

  18. I e-mailed the seller about this bus, The reply I got was "the reserve is set extremely high and we have had offers so are going to go with the highest one.
