I always think if the price is right you should always sell - I had a really stupid offer for Dora my last van and turned it down, but when I decided to sell I couldn't get anywhere near the original offer and settled for a lot less...
Its only a log cabin anyway a,few old floorboards and a pound of clout nails would soon make another!
Don't drag me into it, I'm not about to go & buy an early............. Syncro or 1954 van yes but not an early. My pipe & slippers have gone missing but I do have a tweed jacket
Sell it,buy your dream van,get pi**ed off with selling your van then sell your dream van and try to buy something that was like your old van.
Do it if you really feel it's right for you. We sold Colin who we adored but we always knew we would as Dave had his heart set on the white Westy. It was a wrench letting him go and I still think about him all the time but we now have the bus we wanted and at least Colin went to a good home. I think selling him so quickly and unexpectedly really helped as well.
99% of me hopes the guy will not ring, 1% is already looking on the samba even more than usual........
Interesting thread. My wife and kids would sooner sell me than our van as they love it so much. I have put loads of effort in myself and wouldn't fancy starting again to make one just how I want it. I can however imagine buying a late fifties or early sixties cal look beetle though and keep the bus too. Rick, I saw Bolly once at Techenders and she is a nice bus. I have seen how much effort you have put into getting her to this point so a big decision unless there is something really specific you are after e.g. a prototype that is too old to have proper brakes. I still think you can't beat a late Westy personally, but that's the point: it's personal preference and we are all different.
In all honesty Ricky why would you get rid of the best T2 camping conversion? Seems it would be in my opinion for the wrong reasons.
