  16. a chap at work set some traps for mice in his Aunts loft as they were nibbling stuff.next day his Aunt rang and said in the Night she could hear was Donk.....donk......donk. he opened the loft to check and a mouse dropped with the trap attached to it ear. in the night it had dropped into the loft hatch and was trying to get out but kept running into the sides...hence donk....donk.....donk....oh how we laughed.....

  17. This thread reminds me of an old toaster we used to have, it was brilliant in fact the best toaster we have ever had!

That was until our electrics kept tripping, every couple of days for about two months I would have to reset the mains trip switch & for the life of me I couldn't work out why.

One saturday morning we were busy in the kitchen getting breakfast when i spotted something strange, there was something poking out of the slot below the bit on the front you push down, looked closer & quickly realised there was a dead mouse in the toaster!

From this we deduced that every couple of days the mouse would climb into the toaster to feast on the crumbs but would somehow touch the contacts & trip the main fuse board, I am presuming that after a few weeks of this happening & it not learning from its mistakes it finally got a big shock & the mouse was toast!

I'm pretty sure we had been cooking toast in the toaster for a good few weeks after the mouse had eaten its last crumb, Mrs Robo insisted on me throwing the toaster away, I was very reluctant as it had been a very good toaster!

I returned home with the exact same toaster but a new one, I had to take it back & exchange it for something that looked different from the old one!

    I still miss that toaster!

    Robo...
