  1. Whats the best tools for a. cutting metal and b. grinding/tidying welds in very tight corners ie where a grinder wont get in?
Is a jigsaw with metal blade gonna be any use?
Die grinder? ive not got a compressor but do have some 18v makita kit, so could get a bare unit. 18v die grinder any good?
    Spank you very much

  2. get a nibbler mate, had one at work, truly genius contraption!!

  3. I use a jigsaw with a metal blade for cutting metal sheet to size or my grinder with a very thin disc. I think a die grinder would be brilliant for those difficult to reach corners though.

  4. I meant for cutting out rotten bits in tight corners on the bus , for patching up, by the way. I think some poeple use a dremel for the weld tidying but wasnt sure if they would last very long , die grinders look pretty heavy duty so wondered if theyd be better

  5. A dremmel is pretty good for intricate work. Tight corners and small cuts. Also has interchangeable head for other uses.

You can use a drill with a die grinder bit or a decent body chisel :)

  7. Small stuff - Dremel. Amazing what it can cut (although the discs last about 2 minutes).

  8. my bodys chiselled enough thanks ooooh buff
Good call on the drill die grinder bits, that sounds cheap! Although maybe a dremels the way to go if it can do cutting and grinding.

Dremel is beyond useless for proper manly bodywork such as yours, electric die grinders are expensive£100 plus, a friend of mine who restores stuff has only ever used die grinder bits in a drill
