When I had my pick up it had very grubby seats I used something like this. I can remember the name of it. I got it in one of them cheap crap shops. It worked well. Brought the seats up very clean. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KA7B...=9045351&hvtargid=pla-564855789578&th=1&psc=1
@Faust when i cleaned the poptop i used this... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mr-Muscle-Oven-Cleaner-300ml-x/dp/B000TAUMGI just watch the fumes and maybe test a small area
Try IPA (isopropanol) - CD cleaner if you’ve got some. Or meths. Removes biro stains, so may work with dye. Or WD40, as above.
@Faust I've used standard thinners on PVC before. [lidl have some in stock this week] I cleaned well with no softening, you would need to test an area first, a wipe on then wipe off , and clean with a detergent, see the karate kid..
This I'm afraid. It seems that the dye has migrated into the plasticizer in the pvc. Don't think you'll be able to get it out but if you soak the cover in white spirit for a week or too, it might thin out to become less noticeable.
He sets them on fire. It burns away the stains but his pants remain intact. Amazing really. He sent me a video of him cleaning them, only wish he had put another pair of pants on whilst he was doing it iv not been the same since.
Like de-coking a motorcycle exhaust? Amazing. If you're having flashbacks, try getting some counselling.
I was thinking of cleaning my seats with 1001, but don't really have any idea of the costs involved, or what area it might cover. Any ideas?
Clean brake fluid took the dye out of my passenger leather seat in the time I drove to work with a Caliper in a leaking bag ......;(
