Me and the wife were looking for a while, saw some proper munters!! When the bay of eeeee came good. So with several pound notes stuffed into rucksack we bought one way train tickets t'up north. I had to pull a sickie from work!!! Not a good idea when you work for a right nasty sod like i do but hey. Drove her up and down, looked at each other paid the money and drove all the way home from cumbria to sussex. Two nights later we slept in the bus for the first time on the drive. The van is an integral part of the family now, wish i could of done it years ago
My t25s story was quite interesting , i bought off a ageing hippy who had just come back from a two year trip to Spain in it , while she was there she had found the interior restricting so burned it on a campfire and slept on the floor , while she ws there she fell out with her boyfriend and drove it home to Wales in one raging non stop journey , she reversed it straight into the hedge in her garden when she got home and left it there - doors open the lot for two years . She then listed it on ebay and i bought it , the best of it was it had been a real nice bus before she got it ,one owner from new previous to her - last of the aircooled , full service history and a really nice kampa conversion , i think she just had too much money and didn't respect anything It took me twelve month's to get it back on the road and then we never used it , i sold it within a month of mot-ing it
