  2. Can"t say for sure but there was similar round this way recently ,was a cctv

  3. I reckon it belongs to someone with a very large appetite who doesn't like to risk being mocked by work colleagues, so stashes his packed lunch up there and retrieves it at lunchtime.

  4. I think they put it up so people take pictures of it , but it's actually taking pictures of you which end up on You Tube.ha ha...no seriously don't know,

    ermintrude1978 and steveagain like this.
  5. rickyrooo1

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

isn't it one of those boxes that get attatched to the 2 rubber black things on the road that you drive over? i thought they counted the traffic flow or summat?

  6. Could be a traffic counter if it has tubes attached going across the road, there was one like this on a post near me (near a new housing development) and it was used for checking air pollution from the site and delivery traffic after someone complained to EA :)

  7. That's classic 68_early_bay >used to deliver to a site in London years and years ago ,had to wash wheels/tyres before leaving site ,thou G.Michael did wave to me from his range rover <<dunno if that was something I should have posted ? is RR still online ?

  8. This has nothing attached to it, also there is CCTV already at the top of this lamppost

It'll be something amazingly expensive that some donut from the council had spare budget left over and felt needed spending e.g. some form of microwave connected counter or similar, but not a simple couple of quid wired one, no this will be battery operated so we can spend more money next year on maintenance.

If the CCTV is a residential one (i.e. to cut crime) I would imagine the least sensible thing to do would be to attach an expensive and locked briefcase to a pole in the middle of the area.
