Hi, can anyone help please! Just tried to change my choke on 1973 and the one that I ordered is smaller than the one in place. The lug has broken on the electrical connection, still runs fine but want to get it changed. What do I order?

    Thanks

By smaller what do you mean? If its the same diameter then it will probably work even if it is thinner from front to back.

If you have a type 4 engine with twin carbs and bought a type 1 engine single carb choke, it will be smaller in diameter

  11. I have a type 4 engine in Tilly and one of the connections broke off, You can solder on a new connector but be very careful you do not melt the insulator it is sat upon or try a small drilled hole in the connector, manufactured a L shaped connector and secure with small self tapper.
Check your connections afterwards with on Ohm meter.
