I've been flat out busy mate! Been offered a job by one of the automation companies who worked for us when I was at Imperial. Only a 12 month contract, and it'll mean travelling to Volgograd a couple of times a month, but it sounds good. I currently get landed all the jobs that no-one else wants and its started to grate to be honest!
Cheers mate. I've just put the letter on my bosses desk and to be honest I feel like a right barsteward. Oh well; onwards and upwards.
Passed - Small advisory on O/S track rod end. Ordered a new one and will be done in a jiffy when it turns up!
Oh I remember those days, up early then a nervous drive to the MOT station, then waiting in the customers waiting room like an expectant father,
Nah. I go in give him the keys make a brew, listen to him whinge about the gaffer, previous customer, his neighbour and whatever else comes to mind while he’s knocking the crap out of my van, then read his blog on his computer to close my ears from his moans. The up side is, he doesn’t mot the LT.
I've just cleared all the rubbish out of my gym - half a garage in reality. Now too hot and bothered to do any exercise.
I once built Lou a gym at our old house. I had an area of back garden ( sandstone ) that I built a retainer wall below and levelled off by hand, as I couldn't get my machine in. It took me a month of hard graft to get that area prepped for the gym to stand on and another two weeks to build the gym, sauna and it's balcony with views over the Severn valley. She used it about 8 times. In the meantime I was as fit as a flea and never used it once - well maybe the sauna a couple of times.
