What 15" tyre size on a lowered van?

  1. Hi

I did a few searches for 15 " tyres and lowered vans but I could not find any thing specific.

I just fitted 3" dropped spindles and have the standard 14" wheels and 185 tyres.
I'm looking at fitting some 15s but keeping the same rolling radius and if possible the load rating 102.

What size tyres would be suitable?

Also what size and offset are the standard 14" steels?
    Thanks

  2. 165/50/15 up front & 185/65/15 on the rear .
    hope this helps

Edit: load rating I'm not sure about...ha

  3. How to the 185/65 look. The 165/50s are smart car tyres I got some ready for my mk2 golf.

  4. yawn......... standard size in a 15" tyre is 195/70/15

obviously extra load or a comercial tyre

this has been done to death ............

  5. Thanks that size will be the same as the 14" but it wont be suitable for a lowered van.

From what I can find the standard 14" t2 wheel offset is 41 or 39

looking at a 185/65/15 it will be 18mm more arch clearance
and the speedo readings will be
    Reading at 30mphwould be 31.81mph
    Reading at 60mphwould be 63.62mph

but they dont come in van tyres but are rated at 88t
