Could anybody please show me a pic of how the pop top is held in the down position the previous owners of my bus have put rusty hinges on the outside, but I can see no clips on the outside of anybody else's roof ??also what is best to use to repair the roof where the clips have been as there is screw holes left open Mine is front hinged
put some pics up, it's hinged at the rear and there's a spring clip (or two hoop clips) inside to hold it shut.
Where are you? Best idea is to find someone near you and have a measure. Mine is a rear hinge one and it has articulating hinges that fit under the roof as it folds down which they all are I think. Mines in Derby by the way if you are around these parts

No pic but there are three inside rubber pull downs on my front hinged - One at the back central and one each side of the bunk- these-

Only 2 would hold it wouldn't it? You should see the clips on the outside of mine I will get a pic tomorrow so you can have a laugh!!
My hold downs also held the bed up, if you get my gist and they broke and werent available. I had to remake them myself using all the original metal bits and a rubber bonnet hook which was the same size and profile. I lost the roof when I moved house some years ago unfortunately.
