I have decided not to refit the wardrobe unit in my bus but I now need to fill the gap and require a strip of the venner trim or a whole trim that goes horizontal just to the left of the interior strip light .Ideally with the black rubber trim that clips on .I did get some a couple of years ago from a member who had loads but i cannot remember who it was ? Thanks for the reply back ! Will see what response I get ? I think the last lot I got was from a username or company called Evolution or something like that ?? NLA VW is a good option but if i can get the original VW Westfalia it saves me worrying about getting a good match and also the hassle of cutting it to the correct sizes .
Franks Bus Parts might be another good source for genuine original. I’ve bought from them in the past & have no complaints
Nla vw is a perfect match veneer - I got some for my westy and was very happy with it - also do the black rubber trim Also if yours is a bit faded I find the old English scratch remover for furniture brings it back up a treat.
Thanks for all the tips .I have just sent a PM to VW Evolution but I do not think he has been on here for some time . I have NLA large interior panels in my bus and cannot fault them. The thought of having to cut , glue the new veneer leaves me a bit cold but if I can find original replacements that would be a winner .
I made new ones up when I restored our Westy using the NLA veneer. I’ve probably got some off cuts kicking about. What’s the measurements needed and I’ll have a rummage.
