Westfalia tow bar for Latebay

Trying to locate a proper Westfalia tow bar for a Late Bay. So far I have had 3 tow bars that don't fit my Late Bay due to the CSP Python exhaust that is fitted. Spoke to CSP yesterday and they have photos of Late Bays with a Westfalia tow bar and a CSP Python so my quest begins.

PS - I'll be selling the current tow bar if any one is interested?

monkey harris usually has a westy for sale, i had one off big rich on here, they do come up but are a good £120 at least.

 

I have a swan neck towbar on my bus - not sure how to tell if its a Westfalia? It fits inside the bumper and then bolts to the chassis rails - let me know if you are interested or how to give you any more info to establish if its what youa re looking for.

Ade - thanks for the reply. All of the 3 tow bars I have had so far have all fitted to the bumper mounts but each time the swan neck fouls the 4in 1 xtractor. If you have a photo of the swan neck protruding then I hope to figure if it fits or not. I'm becoming a bit of an authority on t2 tow bars.....

 

Just had a look at the towbar - the mounting plate (the bit that the swan neck goes through) hangs underneath the bumper by a couple of inches - if you think it may be what you are looking for, and your phone takes photos, let me know your mobile no & i'll send you a photo - much quicker than transferring the photos from my camera.

proper westy towbars remove the factory bumper irons and have their own built on which you attatch your bumper to, take a look at my you tube channel one of my early videos shows me fitting a westy swan neck

Thanks for the link. That's the same towbar that I have already but made by Peka rather than westfalia but it still doesn't fit. The 4in1 extractor stops the bolt holes matching up by about 2cms. Also it looks like you have t1 engine whereas I have a t4 engine, not sure if this may make a difference? I'm almost at the point of junking the CSP Python and going for a vintage speedflow instead... CSP have sent me pictures of 2 late bays with tow bars and python exhausts but they haven't said if they were t1 engines or t4.. I'm still waiting for photo form CSP to show the tow bar removed. Davidoft is also going to send me a photo so fingers crossed something works out.

 

Only photos of it before I tried to fit them. Just sold the Peka one this morning.

 

Still got the original "westfalia" one which has been the best "almost" fit so far but the swan neck starts from the rear of the tow bar rather then from the middle if that makes sense.??????
