Westfalia Stool...weight and couriers?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by KarlB, Apr 15, 2013.

  1. I've just bought a stool for the Continental but it's 'down south' and I'm up north!

Could anyone with a stool (metal legs, not box type) possibly do me a favour and weight it? I need this for the courier and the seller says they have no way of weighing it...

Oh...and does anyone have any suggestions for a courier company to use to pick it up? There are hundreds online; too much choice!

    Cheers in advance :)

(based on my experience on my dimensions given)

  4. Don't talk to me about Parcel2go  I bought a carpet cleaner off ebay and they lost it :( I didn't insure it so lost £100 :( They asked me what it looked like so I said a carpet cleaner in a carpet cleaner box with A4 labels with my address on

    Never to be seen again

  10. Fabulous, thanks muchly for the figures everyone...I'll get that sorted now. Of course I'm fully aware I'll probably get annoyed with the stool and remove it again and stick it in the garage...but hey!

  11. My sizes mentioned were not of a stool mate, just an idea of costs for a box that size :)

  13. I've always used Parcels2Go and so far, had no problems...

  14. Went through Parcel Monkey, getting picked up by City Link tomorrow and hopefully delivered here Wednesday. Payed a couple of quid extra for extra value insurance and it came in at just over £11. We'll see how it goes! Cheers again :)

  15. Quick update. It was picked up yesterday morning, delivered this morning to my work. Painless and very efficient! Now to strip the stool and get the cover in the washing machine! :)
