Westfalia sink foam seal - what to use?

Discussion in 'Restorations' started by Tangerine, Nov 1, 2014.

  1. hi all, I have been cleaning out a rather manky water tank in my original Westy interior, and had removed the sink in order to get it out. All is cleaned, but I need to find something to replace the perished foam seal that sits under the sink rim. What should I use? Thanks in advance :)

  2. Easy way would be to run a bead of clear silicone around the top edge of the hole that the sink sits in, then just lower the sink gently onto it. Remove the excess with a bit of kitchen roll. Job done...sink stuck in place and a watertight seal underneath too.
