  1. ideally yellow plaid material but may now go back to blue/green.......

used to have some several years ago so now looking for pieces for seat recovering and for rear of van area by engine bay as mine has got tatty...

    Anybody?

  2. I can't help, but I am looking for some Westfalia blue plaid too!

  3. Gve away my blue plaid last month but may have got a couple of pieces from usa as it now seems easier to get ironically... (That wasn't even ironic I just noticed... ho de hum) Yellow one used to be much easier to find although have tonight sourced two smaller pieces but awaiting further news. I guess I will be going for yellow unless I find more blue than yellow if that makes sense? if I end up with yellow and then no use for blue which should arrive in week or so then I will let you know! (If that makes sense??)

  4. Mines the orange based one which was pretty difficult to find. In the end I used the bottoms of both the upper bed cushions which were like new on my front seats and replaced them with black on the cushions.
You find that the upper cushions do crop up more than seats and the fabric is usually low wear and in my case like new!! The sides are vinyl and easier to match for replacement.

We trimmed some in the summer, the fabric came from VWHeritage I think ...was great quality.

  6. Issy - yes please! Please do let me know if you end up with some spare blue.

  7. Yep we did some too with plaid from Wolfsburg west in the U.S. which was great quality but due to some idiot not measuring in-correctly, err me, was not enough to finish the job ! Got the extra identical fabric from Heritage , it worked out only £7 a metre run more expensive than the U.S. stuff and was the identical stuff. I'ts about £45 for a metre run 59" wide, not cheap, but cheaper and better quality than some that was being sold at the Brighton Breeze by a European trader!
