Westfalia interior

  1. Hi Team

I have a Westfalia interior, but it is a little tired. Some of the surface layer is peeling off. I have been able to get in behind it and scrape off the original glue and wondered if anyone has a bright ideas of how to glue it back. I tried wood glue, but that did not stick probably because I put the part in g-clamps to ensure the outer surface was pressed to the glue.

    Thanks

You can glue it, you need a press or lots of clamps and a big thick piece of wood, contact adhesive is ok but a bit thick and rubbery, not sure what other glues would be better, maybe that double sided tape is suitable.

  6. Just as an update : As usual I end up doing something different to what people ask and I used Evostick stick like Sh*t. Mainly because it was cheaper and I read a good review somewhere. Anyway, it has a worked a treat and I am really pleased with the result. Looks like it will be useful for loads of other things.

    Thanks for replying all.

report back in a couple of months, lots of glues release as they dry out and the laminate comes back off
