Westfalia interior Revamped and MOT passed!

  1. So we've got this crossover bay, and we've had it 3 years, and yes I know it looks like an early, but it's the first of the cross's with early body everything, but the late running gear. Anyways thats another story, here are a few piccies of the interior as we got the bus, and as you can see it has the remnants of a Westy Campmobile interior, miss the toolbox/sink unit, and with an interesting adaptation of the wardrobe ...... its been sawn in half! Any way after much deliberation, including buying a complete Westy interior to replace it, I decided to re-face the saveable units using real oak veneered mdf, and to use the interior I bought as a template to build a new wardrobe from scratch. I know the MDF is not the ideal option, but it was a bargain £70 for two 8x4 sheets which was enough for the whole interior.

Anyway the first shots, as it came...

Pretty pleased with the outcome, not quite professional carpentry level but the overall look is quite cool I think. Just got to do the overhead locker, sink/cooler unit and hang the doors and latches. By the way the Westy cushions are leftover material from our own bus so we thought we'd use it up, but was not quite enough to do the skirts so we used vinyl similar to the colours in the door cards and in the west plaid for that. The door cards and seat covers were a find off Ebay from someone who had a change of interior colour plan, and Eddie the trimmer covered the cushions.
