WANTED Westfalia interior Light wanted

Has anyone got a working westfalia interior light for a 74 westfalia for sale , or can anyone point me in the direction of one , many thanks

I would guess its not working

 

I converted mine by fitting a strip of LED lights inside and binned the tubes.

 

Ive got another broken one here, The 4 white wires were not connected, I put them back on where I thought, then realised the - terminal is missing, maybe you could make 1 out of the 2 ?

 

IIRC there was a thread on thesamba where someone rigged up a led strip inside the original westy light, seems like a good solution. you just need some led strip lights 12v, wire them into the original switch, doesn't look hard.

i replaced my light with a labcraft modern led unit - looks pretty much identical to the westfalia one but led means lower power drain and doesn't get hot.

 

That's what I did, led strip inside original Westy light casing and using original switch.
