Went for a walk today

This is Rivington, I picked my eldest up from school and we went for a play in the snow.
The roads are mainly clear here after the weekend but there were huge drifts on the small back roads and they can't be ploughed as they are too narrow

Oliver wanted to dig them out, there were about a dozen.
They will be there for a while all the other snow pics are between them and clear roads

When i got first intersted in survuval tecniques or bushcrfaft as it now generalised it was rivington i honed my skills on

I used to pride myself leaving daisy hill on a friday at 6 pm after family tea and arriving back at 4pm on sunday to catch the warm end of a family meal

If i tried to do the same nowadays id spend so much time planning my route i wouldent have time to go

 

Oops i forgot to mention back then i was always on foot and i preffer it that way still

Yes they must have, Pics from exactly the same spot were in some nationals today I believe.
