Welder

  1. Does anyone have any advice regarding buying a welder please? I have been looking at a lincoln 200c. Its a monster. Has anyone got one?

  2. From my very limited experience bigger is better but not too big, you still need a fairly low setting to do the thin stuff. I got a sealey185 which seems ideal

  3. Clarke's range? Cheap in machine mart. I hve the cheapest clarke 90, everyone says its weak and crap but its done me fine so far.
So maybe a couple above the 90? Clarke 150 maybe

  4. Machine mart is like tool heaven. They have such a selection :) OK thanks for that

A 90 is way to small , 150 is ok 180 is about right but will be a bit underpowered for chassis welding if using co2 if using argoshield it will be fine :)

  6. I have a snap-on 187 mig using 5% argon mix - perfect for everything that needs doing on the bus :)
