FOR SALE Weber 36 IDF's professionally rebuilt, flow tested & jetted to your req'ts - £350

Ok so I was thinking of putting a pair of 36IDF's on my Type 1 engine as an interim before installing a Type 4 motor but I would rather spend my time doing other things so they are up for grabs.

What is for sale is one pair of carbs (LH and RH so suitable for VW fitment), they will be professionally rebuilt and flow checked to suit the buyer's requirements, this includes fitment of the correct venturis for the application, new pump diaphragm's and springs and a service kit plus the correct emulsion tubes and jets. A friend had the same guy rebuild some 40DRLA's on the same basis a few years ago and they dropped straight onto his 2.0 Litre Type 4 and ran as sweet as a nut and still do.

I am sending three pairs of carbs to be rebuilt and was going to include these in the shipment. They would be available in 2-3 weeks.

Note it is carbs only - no linkage or air filters, however, the buyer does have first dibs at either of the following for additional cost of £75:

Stubby offset Type 1 IDF/DRLA manifolds (quite rare and good for Beetle, Bus and Type 3 applications)
Standard (tall) Type 4 manifolds with Vac take-offs and four bolt fixing

Collection preferred but can post at additional cost - located in Hereford.

£350 and I might post for that (but they wouldn't be insured for full replacement value).
