weber 34ict tick over

  1. Ive had a bit of an issue today with my carbs! In one the butterfly was sticking in the throat of the carb. A quick inspection showed that the throle stop was wound right out and allowing the butterfly to fill and stick in the throat. :( :(

Ive sorted it but now the tickover is a little high. Does anyone know which screw is the tikover?

Ive binned the instructions so without taking the screwdriver to all the screws on the carbs im struggling! :-[ :-[

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

You've answered your own question - throttle stop screw. They should be balanced though by setting both with a thin feeler guage in the butterfly before installing the carbs, then turning both equal amounts.

  4. ^ this. Need to set the basic throttle stop position on both carbs as starting point before balancing them.

Carbs off, skinniest feeler gauge you can in between throttle flap and body, tweak throttle stop until feeler gauge falls on the floor. Carbs on, then balance them properly.

  5. Excellent cheers guys will sort them tomorrow :) :) :)
