Basically correct provided its drilled straight and cleanly. It is probably better to buy one off Eurocarb so there is less confusion in future when you forget what you did and you swear blind its a 50 to the rolling road guy....
I definitely remember he upped the jets as they were too small. I'm not that well versed in all this but he was saying that over the few years previous the folk that were trying to sort things out were basically try to adjust the carb over and above it's capabilities as the jets were the stranglehold on everything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you take it to an old skool RR they'll do whatever suits your engine set up best. Exhaust has a part to play too. It's really the only way you can check/adjust things as and where they need adjusting. My bill was only that because I had him go through everything, a total check/tune. Very true old Skool rr places are the best but getting hard to find people who can still work well with carbs etc.
I plan on booking in later this year, thing is Peter is knocking on a bit and I want to get in before he gives it up Born in 41! He not only qualifies for historic ved he doesn't even need an MOT! http://www.brdc.co.uk/Peter-Baldwin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just an update on my Weber carb I have fitted a 60 idle jet and an 80 secondary idle jet and she really is loads better drives lovely, haven't fitted my new main jet yet as she runs well as it is
That's great news! And people say that they're no good eh! You're obviously technically apt and have got it sorted. For us lesser mortals I still encourage an old skool rolling road They do go good on them though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have been using seat of pants tuning styleee so probably is not perfect but, is loads better, old school rolling road would still be the best idea might still do this once I have a few thousand miles on the engine Thanks for all the help.
