lookin for piece of tinware that goes under engine and to Pre heat pipe on air cleaner. No idea what it’s called. While I’m here, anyone know how to check if thermostatic flap in air cleaner is working, and if not how to repair?
Right side air deflector plate (113 119 358/A)? They’re available for £12 from the usual big suppliers if you don’t find one here. Shine a flashlight down the cool air snout and have someone start the engine (engine bay needs to be <30°C). Should see it rise up. If not, you can post a Q to Mech/Tech—probably your thermostatic valve is dead.
Cheers, it doesn’t move, which thermostat ? Am I right in thinking there are two on the air filter? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Depends what your set up is. You’re going to have to assess what the actual cause is. The thermostatic valve is a likely candidate, but not the only possibility. Post a question in the Mech/Tech forum. That way you’ll get more eyes on it than just mine, and more knowledgeable ones at that.
I've been looking for one of those but it seems everywhere is out of stock in the UK .... only place I could find one was US eBay but they want $80
Hi, Please can you have a look, I can find one in US..... I spend my days putting all the stuff on that people have taken off over the last 4 decades...
Got a picture, I think I know what it looks like, round one end with a tab, sort of squished shape with a cut across at the other, 90’ bend ?
Please let me know if you have one and price, then I need to sort thermostatic flop thing on air filter.... Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
