Hi. I'm in the middle of fixing my thermostat, fingers crossed it works. I have ordered some Isopropyl Alcohol to fill and test. However I will need the m7 nut if one is available or anybody knows where I can get one as I've searched and can't find any.

Sorry it’s not where I thought it was. Found the bracket but no other bits. It’ll turn up when I’m looking for something else.

 

I posted too soon earlier and I've found the cable and m6 bolt at VWHeritage.

 

Watch out ....their picture shows one with the cable but you don't get one....

OK, I'll report back. Luckily it is the nut I need but it would be odd indeed.

When I ordered one just for the connector I just got the cable I asked about this they started saying..



Then I said it's missing a bit then.. .



So they changed their minds and said the picture is wrong.. you just get a cable..

I’m sorted for the washer now and also found the nut, it came on the new thermostat which I had tucked away safe but thanks for looking

VWheritage did send just the cable and were very fair when I called them up and agreed the picture needs changing. So refund agreed.

 

They said that picture needed changing last October when I told them .. didn't bother with a refund as my existing cable was about 10mm to short ..
