Hi I’m after a heat riser elbow for my 74 Westy 1800, the one that comes off the heat exchanger.I am 90% sure I had both but one has gone missing.I need the passenger side one (mine is LHD) so road side on a RHD if anyone has one kicking about.JK sell in pairs but I only need one Thanks Martin
Is the bottom end of yours round or oval - the heat exchanger ens that is? I have a nice powder coated pair of oval ones.
Good news for you then is that I have a pair of US spec heater riser elbows. The JK ones wouldn't work on yours as they're round. I'll get you some pics tomorrow if you like. Mine are freshly sand blasted and powder coated. I had them done for mine but didn't realise they were US spec. They're up for £50 delivered mainland UK.
Right I took the other heat riser off it looks round to me.When I bought the van the engine wasn’t fitted and all the parts were loose inside the van.I wonder if they are Uk heater exchangers that we’re just put with it to make it complete.The engine is an 1800 but not the original but is correct for the year but I have no history for it so could be possible it’s out of a UK van but was put with mine so it could be sold as a complete package .
I’m pretty sure they are not called heat riser elbow . The pic you sent me was from the Heat Ex to control valve
It’s me getting mixed up ... I’ve always called the ones coming vertically of the HX riser elbows ... doh
