waiting for the big yellow taxi

Pootling along quite nicely, radio on full blast, big grin from ear to ear.

Realised I was losing power (not a big shock, was on a bit of an incline) and then realised I could smell smoke. Pulled straight over, fan belt had snapped in half, whipped off the fuel breather pipe on its way out.

Smoke poured out of the drivers side vent for about 5 minutes.

Changed the fan belt, re-connected the breather pipe, turned him over...and nada.

Engine is turning, spark is good, but nowt is happening :-(

Now waiting for the big yellow taxi, just opened a bottle of champagne, party for one it is then.

Waaaa.

 

Hope he gets there soon

 

Bugger! Maybe damaged some wiring?
Obviously it's got a bit hot but if it turns over that's good.

 

Hope you do not have to wait too long and there is not to much damage.

 

I have my fingers crossed for you that you've missed a simple wire pulled off. Let us know.

 

Hope its a quick fix.

 

Do you think you problems could be blamed on camperjam ?

 

I bet the fan belt has pulled the wire of the fuel cut of soloniod on the carb

Home now, considerably pished from the champagne for one. Arthur Boo has been left at the garage, query seized valves....I would say let's hope it's something cheap but as Bugcatcher says, I've got the worse luck of anyone in the world so you just know the entire engine is seized.

Ah well, more champagne please butler.

Didn't any dash lights come on? The charging light should have, then you'd have known the belt might have broken and pulled over.

 

But if its turning over it can't be seized can it ???

 

It might have done if some idiot hadn't broken it at Techenders

 

That's the way to ruin a weekend away

 

If it turns over your going to be fine
