FOR SALE 'W' code 1.7 litre Type 4/Porsche 914 engine - longblock project £450

As per the thread title. Surplus to requirements.

Engine currently partially dismantled, it will need all new bearings, new camshaft & lifters, new gaskets and new piston rings.

Cylinder heads are in very good condition, as most 1.7 heads tend to be (they are widely acknowledged as the 'best' head for a rebuild/tuning project due to the valve seats being much less likely to drop plus nicer intake porting). Genuine VW heads with no damaged threads or cracks. The only thing I can't attest to is the condition of the valve guides so am going to assume that they may need replacing.

Lovely original piston & barrel set, no broken fins on the barrels.

No flywheel included (I don't have a spare) and no other ancillaries - it is a cylinder head to cylinder head longblock.
