    Hi. All,

Just been looking at new seals etc for quarterlight and seen that new quarterlights are available,

Searched on here and elsewher, but noone seems to have bought new quarterlights sold by JK, VW Heritage, coolair etc.

    No reviews either?!

At £220 each new, was thinking by the time I've bought used VW quarterlights, new seals etc , a new one from just kampers is £220 with 10% discount.

is it better to buy new or buy oem vw?

    Cheers

  3. I've looked at the new repro ones, not bad quality, but original is better.

They don’t fit correctly, or at least the ones I’ve tried haven’t

  5. Is this a quaterlight in the rear window. If so I bought one of these supposedly quality items a while back, didn't rate it and having spent all that money it still leaked.

Thanks for the replies, I was looking at replacement seals for the quarterlight and stumbled across the new front quarterlights, but no reviews!?

Glad I checked with you guys who know more/better thank i do, as was thinking to buy a set and have fitted when my bus goes in for resto work.

I’ll stick to looking, buying a set of good quality used VW ones then.

Best place to get seals, is it AH schofields, C&C or JK?

    Thanks

    Schofields or C&C, not JK.

  9. You’ll likely also need the “D” frames that go around the quarterlights. They rot like mad.

I have fixed quarterlights in my bus now. My bus is due to go into body shop and they need to strip down my doors, so thought to swap in some replacement opening quarterlights !

Was just looking at the costs for new seals, reading the write ups on changing said seals etc and seen that new quarterlights are available.

Mmm that’s interesting, where did you get yours?

I don’t think the body shop will be wanting to strip down and replace rubbers etc, let alone, if the D frame is rusting/rusted...
