Vintage speed exhaust for my 1.6

  1. So I've brought a vintage speed exhaust for my bay does anyone know we're I can get any info how it is to fit ??
Fitting the exhaust is easy but it come with two stainless steel tubes one side attaches to the exhaust (two bolts) the there side slide over the heater exchange, the problem being is that it seems to be to loose over the heater exchange seems like something should be in between or around to stop the heat etc escaping ??
Am I missing something or is this how it is ment to be ?? [IMG]

Yes there should be a compressing ring seal that slides onto the exchanger part, then a clamp made up of two semi circular halves and two bolts that clamp it together! Should be in the fitting kit, it's stopping exhaust gasses escaping not hot air so the seal needs to be new!

There's 4 of said clamps top left in the pic, the ring in the middle is like wire mesh, bit of exhaust sealant round it as well won't go amiss!

  4. Cheers flankey forgot to say all sorted :)
