And going back one stage, a proprietary snake oil fuel drying substance aka ethanol can only remove so much water. What is left is busy helping rust form. As well as the likely ignition switch fault, theres probably rust and crud all through the fuel system. The water has to be coming from somewhere too, normally thats not a problem for buses.
Not any advise to add but I do sympathise with you. It's frustrating for these issues to raise their heads, especially when you know "bugger all" on your own admission. I have just completed replacing all to do with ignition, wires, switches and battery due to a hot start problem. The good guys and girls on here held my hand and I got there in the end . It's great when it all comes together and you get it resolved Good luck with it.edit Forgot to add that it seems replacing both the ignition switch an barrel - the last thing to do resolved the issue. Don't be fooled about how easy it looks to change the switch .... It's a bit of a swine and I had to resort to brute force in the end as there is no way you can ģet the wire in hole to press the locking mechanism in place
Thanks for all the replies.. to be fair - the wyn's dry fuel got the van running ok when i really needed it. my mistake was not taking it to a garage to get checked out afterwards. hopefully be on the road again soon!
Thanks to Steve77Bay i'm now up and running again... new starter motor and some burnt out wires to the fuse box look to have sorted it. Cheers for the help everyone
