Valve stem seals.

    Good afternoon hope everyone is well I have a 2lt type four cu and was wondering if and what size off valve stem oil seals I nee. Also do they go on every valve or just the inlet thanks

    I think the valve dtem seals are generally left out from all of them now... they fall off and you find them in the oil...

    Leave them off , they tend to disintegrate and get washed out in the oil after about 10k which gets a lot of people very worried and dashing off to the nearest `specialist` :)
    Vw stopped fitting them about `77-ish ??

    Indeed. All they do is go hard and drop off into the oil. Even VW got tired of them.
