Using the fridge on 12v when driving

  2. Only got 12v and gas on mine unfortunately. :(

  5. freeze ya meat sausages bacon etc , it will keep everything else cold and wont thaw out for a day or so , ive been doing that for years before i put it onto gas and for trip to site .

  8. No chance I was getting really good mpg in the 2l F.I tintop plus I would had to buy one as well :rolleyes:

    i sold my bay for the price of T5, you have 2, you could get a really good one.

  11. Split charge either isn't working properly or your leisure battery is knackered. It should happily run the fridge whilst driving. Did you keep it in 12v when you go there? That would defo eat the leisure battery quickly
     
  12. The 12v only works when the engine is running. Uses the 61 terminal on the alternator to switch it off using a relay.
    Leisure battery is nearly 10 years old so probably just worn out.
