  1. Hi all,
    help and advice please,
we are going to put a plywood floor down in the van and cover it with lino and wondered what would be the best underlay to use under the ply board?
have seen thermolay super 8 and just wondered if any of you have used it? etc.
    cheers

  2. the stuff that goes under lamanit flooring is fine, the thin white stuff

The edges of the floor are about 6mm higher than the crowns of the profiled floor in the middle. So unless you don't mind it bowing at some point you should fit something solid rather than underlay. Or you could fit battens with underlay inbetween.

I fitted 6mm ply in the recessed area with 6mm ply on top over the whole area.

    This may help.

  5. Cheers gents,
very helpful, just wondered- we have a westy interior, will the 6mm and then the top 6mm make the floor the correct level for the 3/4 rock & roll bed and the cooker and coolbox units etc.
    cheers :)
