Forward thinking, it's all the rage!! I'm going to be pulling the dash out to replace the top and paint the front in a month or so and I want to pre-plan some of those awkward under dash jobs while I'm at it. For now, I can think of tidying some wiring and general cleaning on top of my "Need to do job" which is tinker with the wiper motor and sort out a sticky wiper spindle. Can anyone recommend some other things to check and fix before they go wrong while the dash is out?
washer hose replacement and what ricky said (which really needs the wiper motor out or its a pig of a job) other than the wires not much else under there as long as your fresh air vent tubes are all ok and heater cables work
You could waxoyl some of the less accessible areas like the inside of the inner windscreen surround, the inside of the front panel next to the a pillars and down the bottom where the front joins the inner valance, all easier with the dash out. Do all your dash bulbs work?
Clean up your wiper mech, change the washer hoses and take off and clean all the switch connections on the dash. Strip out any wiring "improvements".
Did a dash pod refurb a while back, but i'm keen on one of those in dash tach's the guy on prototype bay is making so that may enter into the equation!
Just seen the rev counter and it's very good - slightly more subtle than a Sun Pro Monster Tach but it's all about taste! http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=49861&p=444977&hilit=rev counter#p444977
etch some VERY personal details whilst in there fella ,details only you could have known and be able to later prove same.(I hate thiefs)
You have been very vocal abou this on the "what have you done..." thread; have you had a bad experience per chance!?
Ah, seems there are two of these doing the rounds... http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52625&hilit=tach I've put my name on the list for the latter of these
