Type IV oil drain plug rounded off :)

  1. Use a proper bit that is fixed in a socket, get a blow lamp round it first, it looks like they used the same sealant on the push rod tubes, if you get the drain undone please go and insert it up PO bottom

    Thanks. I had tried with a proper socket and torx fitment but the hole had been mostly rounded out previously, hence the use of an Allen key. Will try again tomorrow. The joys of ownership.

    It never was Torx, they were Allen from the factory. If you can’t weld a nut on it, you’ll probably get it out using a centre punch around the edge – then replace it with a hex plug.
