I have an AW code engine and need to replace my complete system as the heat exchangers are shot. Looking to put a set of j-tubes on with a 4 into 1 header but anything considered.
Personally i'd avoid the thunderbird header as it will rust in front of your eyes. I have steel 'j' tubes which I got from Stateside Tuning back in 2003. They're still solid but are a pig to fit, a lot of fiddling to get the silencer on. I have a similar vintage stock exhaust which has lasted well. Vintage speed is a very nice piece of kit. Its worth looking out for anyone selling a setup from an industrial engine. I got a complete system last year for £100, all brand new. The heat exchangers are the smaller ones like a 411/412 and if you don't want heat are ideal as the top heater blower holes aren't there, its a solid piece.
I have a 4 into 1 header and Empi back box that might get you by. It's of my typeIV 2.0. Someone will know if it'll fit, just not me!
