Type 4 tinware install

  1. Just in the process off getting my 2L engine to go back in my bus, when I bought it the tinware was all out apart from the 2 top bits that go over the cylinders where the spark plugs go through and the bits either side between the cylinder head and push rod tubes.
PO had taken everything off to remove engine for welding repairs and oil leaks and lost tinware.
I have purchased tinware and pretty sure I have it all.
My question is which bits do I have to have on the engine before I refit it to the bus?
It's a 1978 Auto if that helps, thanks in advance

  3. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

You can put them all on depending on how you go about fitting the engine.

  4. ... ah yes.. If you mate it to the gearbox before lifting it up into place.
