Type 4 Timing Marks

  1. Is the 1700 the same as the 1800/2000?

    Yes it is. 28 degs full mech advance.
     
  3. Thanks gonna test it after work. Am i the only one with only vacum advance attached to right carb? I have no retard either on diaphragm or left carb.

    You may well be, but it makes no difference to the operation which carb it's attached to. The ports are generally more accessible on the left carb that's all.

    What if you don't have VAC?

    I have a pertronic ignition

    If you don't vave vac there's no vac to disconnect. :thumbsup:

  9. Ive tested with out the vacum and it was 32 so ilowered it to 28 so now it is 0 at idle.. 40 with vacum on at high revs so i moved on with rebulding of my carbs cant get the fuel level right though :/

    If that's right, you need a new distributor - the one you have is knackered.

    Well, there's a thing. Without driving you can't really see, but as you increase the revs inneutral, you should see some initial extra advance, then not so much. lol
