Snail fan for use with type 4 engine. It's the one that hangs from the top of the engine compartment and blows air through the heat exchangers. Fully operational, tested. £25 plus post. Starter motor for 2 litre type 4 engine. £40 plus post.
Out of interest, and probably shouldn't ask it here BUT when was the change from metal to palstic fans? Was it a certain year or version of van? No to boast but I have picked up one of each and I quite fancy fitting the metal one, but it's been painted a awful colour! The plastic one is lighter but has a small piece of the plastic missing but this won't affect the working. Is there a recognised advantage to either of them??? cheers
@allibus3 - sorry, no idea when the change was. My van had a plastic one when I got it. The fan then died and the replacement I got was metal but not very good condition. I did try to swap the motor from the metal one into my plastic housing but they are different and so have been on the lookout for a better replacement. Also, it might be my imagination but I think my original plastic one pushed through quite a lot more air hence why I want to go back to plastic. Sorry can't be more help than that.
