Came off an engine many moons ago! Was intending to make one cos it’s a bit thin at the bottom but ever did!

 

I made mine up ...there is not much to them .

 

Yet another bit I didn't know I needed!

 

First step in bus ownership is to browse the microfiche to find out what bits have been thrown away by previous owners!

 

Recently replaced my garden loppers but I kept all the bits of the one that fell apart. A few mods and hey presto - can you tell?

 

So did I. Easy enough and satisfying.

 

20 is the real problem. I had mine double plated and welded. Probably find a picture after a rummage tomorrow.

 

Your not going anywhere without that one as it’s the alternator bracket. Usually knackered where they bolt to exchanger

 

Yes that's one thing I've kept a spare of.

 

That's an old home made one
The original attaches to the middle bolt on the heat exchange, does a twist and bolts to the lower right hand side bolt hole on the fan housing
That threaded hole is slightly lower than the other 3 so a bracket for the aircon compressor sits flush (when used)

 

Here's my version of the hanger based on the original
made from a piece of angle
I had to relieve the fan housing a little more because I made the bracket bigger (it's where the old one broke)

 

Could you not use actual horse poo? Just thinking outside the box.

 

Scrapped the first one. Have to agree with the angle piece going to the middle exhaust bolt

 

thats actually a better idea tbh! Except tat wont fit on a standard silencer - but the idea would work.

yeah it will. Originally it was on the heat exchanger side.
My heat exchangers are a little shorter because I cut the ends off due to rust and re-made the flanges.
