Type 4 fuel injection issues - please help

  1. I know you've mentioned the tappets, but it's worth checking them again - I've had problems similar to yours with my Brazzer, spent ages on the easy things, checking sensors, resetting the ECU etc., but ignored advice to check the tappets again because I hadn't realised the significance of accurate clearances.

    I do now.

After all the issues, took Alf for his mot and passed with no advisories

I would definitely recommend the mot place in enfield north London :) very sympathetic

  3. Ticks over steady and sounds ok....dont forget to put the heat sealing stuff around the tinwear and floor.

  4. Yes that's on the to do list along with tracking, since I've replaced everything underneath it seems to have a mind of its own

One think I noticed, the oil pressure light sometime flickers on low idle when the oil is warms. Does anyone else have this issue?

This used to happen on mine so I stripped engine and found the oil pick up pipe seal had split.

  6. I hope to god it is that, it's just been rebuilt! I was hoping for a dodgy oil pressure switch

    I hope so too

  8. If it was me I would change the oil presure switch first!

  9. Yes I think that's a good idea!

  10. So after changing 2 injectors for 2 known newer working ones the bus will not start. I've checked the relay and pump and all seems ok. It will start for about a second if left for a few mins between turning over. Almost sounds like out of fuel but bled the system and fuel is coming out

Anyone got any ideas otherwise it's being left out in the road

  11. check the red and white wire is connected from the dual relay to the starter, it provides power to the fuel pump whilst cranking
