WANTED Type 4 cylinder head

Good used Type 4 heads are hard to come by, used 1700 harder and for good used 1700 you'll need patience and/or luck. You've probably seen these on eBay that will fit.

I have a few 1700 cylinder heads. I can check the part numbers when I’m home tonight.

the inlet valve on #1 cylinder looks like it’s been rattling round and has trashed the valve seat badly so I’m only getting 75psi on compression - cylinder and everything else looks fine but if I can’t get a head the rest is useless unless I can fit a 1800 head?

 

Which side do you need? Right or left?

1800 heads won't fit unless you also fit 1800 B&P. 1700 heads are out there, try the ebay ones.

 

Yes, the pics are a mix of Type 1 and 4 but the description and part numbers are good for a 1700.

 

Stateside Tuning do refurbished heads. Look them up as they might be able to help you.
