I know how the type 1 choke works, with the snail cam, requiring a gentle press of the gas pedal to move the stop screw/snail cam interface. But with a type 4 there is no visible snail cam. So after 18 years,I'm asking ......do you have to press the pedal when cold, or just turn the key?
I turn on the electrics so that the fuel pump is running. Three presses of the throttle and turn the key to start and it's running.
