No Glue. I like these ones, £17 at JK https://www.justkampers.com/vw-t2-b...11-c-engine-lid-seal-vw-t2-bay-1971-1979.html
As @zedders says - no glue , they engage well into a lip on the bodywork . Only bought mine from Schofields because i was buying a bunch of panels so made sense to get few extra bits but if @zedders says the JK ones are ok they will be
I like it when I can let go of the engine lid at 90 degs open and it neatly shuts and catches. I find the D profile ones get pinched at the top. I saw that happen to pretty much every bus I look at. I had one as above in my westy for 10 years and it was as good as new. Here it is at 10. And the engine lid passed the drop test and closed flush... So does my Devon...
I was that excited by mine shutting I filmed it way back when I was still welding the bus (easily pleased). Shuts just as nicely now with the seal fitted too.
thanks for all the posts The problem was the rubber had gone , i cut a 5mm slice off the old one and now door closes as it should. new one has been ordered. many thanks.
