Last summer me and a few vw mates decided to have a few days in mid Wales . Alll went well on the journey down, for three of us, the fourth brown member arrived late after taking advice from his 200 year old roadmap. Anyway after a nights sleep in the foothills of the mid Wales mpuntains we decided to venture up Elan valley and on to Aberystwyth, the road was scenic but windy and steep, we passed a few hardy cyclists who were either nuts or training for the olympics, we gave them a wave and wide berth as we passed. On the narrow approach to bridge i slowed to anticipate any dangers and take in the view, as we rounded a bend there stooped mid swipe was a lady cyclist, she had obviously had to go and the look on her face asfour vw campers came into view was pricelless, Will waved, Lou cringed on her behalf and looked away out of decency, i tooted the horn and smiled, she smiledwryly back and carried on swiping. I don't know if the others noticed but me n Lou did smile later ! Spose ,when you gotta go you gotta go !
i remember that - and my map isn't that old it's from 2002, it's better - there was less cars on the road ten years ago.
