Trying to get the engine back in and I am so close but just can’t get it to slide back that last inch. Any ideas?
It’s probably not lined up with the splines on the clutch plate, shake wiggle tickle , rotate the crank , make sure it’s IN gear, wiggle turn , struggle and then without warning it will just fall into place
Use the Force. Sometimes its just at the wrong angle. Shake the engine hard.... When I weighed about the same as the engine I would wrestle engine and win. Then find the throttle cable is kinked over and trapped.. or drop your new engine off the jack at the last moment..
Good news got it to go in, putting it in gear did the trick. Bad news is the new lower engine bolts I put in don’t push through far enough. I’ll have to pull it back again see if I can unscrew them a bit and try again. Maybe one for tomorrow.
