Trip to Weymouth

  1. It started last week when my manager was off sick & my director gave me the list of stores I need to vist in the next few weeks to carry out schedules of condition reports on the properties!

I had been emailing mrs Robo from work and she suggested going out Monday and she would help with the driving if I wanted to do one of the long trips as she's off with the kids and it would be a trip out!

I suggested either Dorchester or Thirsk as they are both nice little places to visit & compared to the others on the list were the furthest to travel (from Leicester) but I was concerned that the kids wouldn't be over impressed being stuck in the car for all that time and how did she fancy travelling down Sunday, getting a premier inn for the night, I do my visit Monday morning & then travel back home monday afternoon!

I got the green light from mrs Robo & started looking for hotels, Weymouth was the nearest premier inn & it's on the sea front, perfect I thought! So I stuck my head round my directors door to let her know my plans & to ask if the company would contribute towards the hotel seeing as normally two of us from the team would normally do the trip in one day the company was saving this cost!

I had to wait 24hrs for the answer which was yes, so the hotel is booked and were off to Weymouth for the night tomorrow! Fish & chips on the sea front & then into Dorchester Monday!

We can't wait it's the most spontaneous thing we have done since the kids came along & it feels great! Hope we see a few campers out and about tomorrow although we shall be doing the trip in the car as my company don't pay enough mileage for me to take the camper on a business related trip!

Anyone gonna be cruising the coast tomorrow?

  2. Nice one - have a great time! Its great when little things happen like that when you have a family - it makes it such a big thing :)

  3. Yes we said we will have fish & chips out of the paper on the sea front, there's bound to be one of those shelters that the oldies hide from the elements in overlooking the sea :)

I originally signed up as wiz for some strange reason but quite quickly changed my mind & had one of the mods change it to Robo, since the new site went live it has reverted back to wiz!

I have asked for it to be changed again but they have yet to work out how, so unless I re-register as Robo but loose all my previous posts etc. I'm stuck with wiz :(

Must admit I have been holding back commenting a lot due to the name thing although I have kept my Fatface avatar & do sign the bottom of any posts with Robo, hope they work it out soon as its quite annoying!

  4. :D It would appear on this wonderful new site I can't even put a laughing smiley at the name problem!

Give us a wave while you enjoy those chips - it will be a day the kids will remember for a long time! :)

  8. For waving or taking them out for the day when you are working!

Don't forget at this time of year whilst sat in one of those oldies shouties to protect yourselves from the wind and rain it is also compulsory to have an ice cream after the chips!

Ere - Robo - you are no longer Wiz! Was just getting used to your name too! ;)

  9. Wehey I'm back :)
